La
Manok is one of the Islets in the Island of Masbate City.
The islet pleases for those people who are simple and/or extreme adventures. As
you go visit Masbate this islet is one of the best that you shouldn’t miss. The
islet is less than two hectares and suited for snorkeling, fishing, swimming,
diving and its views like white sand,
beautiful corals, and crystal clear water.
The
La Manok is an isolated islet and there is one family that lives as caretaker,
no electricity that suited for overnight camp and swimming for extreme
adventurer. The islet is also surrounded
by the bit bigger islets such as Peña,
Guilotongan, Narro and etc. those islets where you can find seafood plants, dried fish, and fresh fishes.
These products are the main resources of income of most people live in the said
islets.
The
islet La Manok is not yet discovered by the foreign adventurer and some foreign
tourist had been there and they sees the islets as a paradise and a relaxing
place for summer. Since the islet is isolated and if you want to do islets
hopping better to bring tent, water to
drink and some foods but if you want
to eat fresh fishes better to bring fishing-rod.
For the extreme adventurer this islet gives you the extreme excitement that
you want. Don’t forget to bring cameras.

How
to go to La Manok? As you landed in the City of Masbate, plane or frigate take
a bus on the way to Malbug, Cawayan.
From Malbug rides or rent a canoe straight to the Islet- La Manok. As you
travel from the City to the La Manok you can see the views of what the
province’s pride and can give. It takes two hours from the City to the Islet.
